| Customer Reviews: Great book August 16, 2009 Lynn A. Hannigan To be honest, I purchased this book for my grandson and when I received it, I didn't think it would be a favorite for him. I was wrong. All of my grandkids love this book and it's one of the first ones they want me to read and talk about. Highly Recommend.
Quite Impressive 2nd Book in Series!!! December 28, 2008 Elizabeth I guess you could say I'm now a dedicated fan. I understand that the author (Gabel) & artist (Neuman) have other career obligations to occupy their days & thus can only produce 1 new book a year in their growing series. But, I have to say that it's hard to wait! My grandchildren want to know more about farm life. No doubt this series will be requested by my grandchildren's children. They are so beautifully done. I recently discovered they have a website: www.readinmachines.com
Great book for kids! November 28, 2008 Stefanie A. Hunker I've been waiting for this book to come out the minute I heard it was being written! My kids love it already. Incredible illustrations and engaging writing make it a great first reader, especially for my kindergartner, who loves all things mechanical.
Fantastic Book for Kids November 28, 2008 C. Quinlan This is the second book in the series. The text and illustrations are superb. After reading this book there are questions and additional activities listed on the last page which is a plus. Super book for a teacher to use in the classroom. This book provides a great foundation for parents to read aloud to their small children and then ask questions about what was read. Great for critical thinking. I can't wait for the next book in the series to come out.
